Budgam, Mar 30 (KNO): In the recent past large number of tourists thronged the famous tourist destination of Doodhpathri in central Kashmir’s Budgam district, reflecting its growing popularity as one of the Valley’s preferred leisure spots.
Visitors as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) praised the security arrangements in place, saying they felt safe and comfortable throughout their visit. Many said the visible presence of security personnel and proper monitoring instilled a sense of confidence among tourists, encouraging more people to explore the destination without hesitation.
A group of tourists from Pune said, “We feel completely safe here. The security arrangements are very good, and it gives us confidence to move around freely and enjoy the beauty of this place.”
At the same time, several visitors pointed out that Doodhpathri still holds immense potential for further development. They stressed that improved infrastructure, better road connectivity, sanitation facilities, and organized tourist services could significantly enhance the overall experience.
Tourists also noted that thousands of people across the country aspire to visit Kashmir, and destinations like Doodhpathri play a key role in shaping their perception. “We will carry a positive message when we go back. The hospitality and natural beauty here leave a lasting impression,” they said.
Meanwhile, a foreign tourist, Sourav from Melbourne, Australia, described Doodhpathri as “heaven inside heaven” and invited tourists from across the globe to visit Kashmir. “I have travelled to many places, but this is something extraordinary. I invite all foreigners to come and experience the beauty of Doodhpathri and Kashmir,” he said.
Another group of tourists from Maharashtra also shared similar sentiments, saying they had always heard Kashmir being referred to as “jannat” (paradise), but had now witnessed it themselves. They described Doodhpathri as breathtaking and said it is a must-visit destination for anyone coming to Kashmir.
Local residents urged authorities to focus on planned and sustainable development to ensure that tourism continues to grow while preserving the pristine beauty of the area. They said that proper development would also help generate employment opportunities for the local population—(KNO)
